O plural de substantivos em inglês obedece às regras gramaticais do idioma, assim como acontece no português. Para os substantivos regulares, a regra é acrescentar o -s ao final.   “ Many ” significa “ muito ” e é utilizado para coisas contáveis .  O “ How many ” carrega essa mesma função, mas no papel de pergunta, de interrogação .  Portanto, quando quiser perguntar “quanto” de algo existe e esse algo puder ser contado em unidades, você deve usar o “how many”.    How many  fingers are there in a hand?
